Highwood Parish Council
Welcome to Highwood Parish Council's website. Highwood is a small, scattered parish close to Writtle, on the western border of Chelmsford. There are appoximately 270 dwellings with about 620 residents.
The parish is very rural and comprises five hamlets -Cooksmill Green, Edney Common, Loves Green, Highwood and Radley Green. Cooksmill Green and Radley Green in the north are seperated from Edney Common, Loves Green and Highwood in the south by A414.
Within the parish there are a primary school, a church, two public houses, a public play area and a village hall.
The Parish Council meets bi-monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in the school hall. Parishioners are most welcome to attend the meetings.
